I have always set personal boundaries of what is funny and what is not. I have been quoted as saying, "There are just some things you don't poke fun at." I was wrong. Laughter rises out of tragedy when you need it the most and rewards you for your courage.

Without it, it would have been impossible to imagine how these cartoons could have endured their load.

Sometimes situations cry for perspective. Here at Recovery Jones we may use less deodorant than the rest of you, but our sense of humor is left intact, as is evidenced by our artwork. We speak of optimism and humor as our "caretakers" during our battle with alcoholism and addiction. And we are glad to have our website available 24 hours a day to allow us to share our 'experiences' rather than 'memories'.
